Kula believes that charity will not alleviate poverty, business will. Kula exists to eradicate poverty through the development of entrepreneurs in Rwanda's coffee based communities. Kula accomplishes this goal through a 15-month business fellowship that provides industry training, business investment, and life and leadership skills, empowering our fellows to build profitable businesses, raise healthy families, and send their children to school.
Kula begins by conducting extensive baseline assessments with their communities and spending true relational time with their people to know them both qualitatively and quantitatively.
Kula then provides consistent and in-depth industry training, support, and follow-up to the fellows in their specific industries. Kula currently focuses on coffee farming, artisan goods, and agribusiness.
Their next step is to conduct intensive training and one-on-one mentorship to fellows and their families in areas of financial planning, family health and nutrition, household visioning, gender equality, business management, and community leadership.
Kula and its partners (like Empowerment through Entrepreneurship) invest in groups or individuals who have completed business training and submitted a business plan, equipping fellows to improve their current businesses or launch new ones.
We collect quantitative and qualitative data to monitor and evaluate the impact of our work. We then determine the best way to amend the fellowship to support each person towards empowerment.
Satisfying customers is our top priority. That’s why we believe in offering fair and transparent prices with no hidden fees or extra charges.
It takes an invigorated community to transform the lives of individuals. Africa new life is playing a role across various communities in Rwanda. When you sponsor a child in Rwanda, you can help to break the cycle of poverty and free a child to dream!
Their model of caring for the whole child recognizes this. With educational sponsorship at the core of their work, children need other key factors to succeed including growing faith, community development, and a healthy body.
